Treat that special person to a private jet escape they’ll never forget for a perfect Valentine’s. All around Europe there are some very fine cities that fit the romantic bill – all not too far away – but here we have put together just a few of our favourites.
There are the obvious choices that have been long established as romantic, but there are always the more secret spots to seek out, and of course flying private means the romance can begin right as you leave.
Fly to romantic Paris on a private jet
One such city is Paris, and no romantic city list would be complete without it. Here there is no shortage of idyllic hotel options from the grand and ornate, to the more whimsical. You cannot go wrong with the Le Royal Monceau Raffles or the Shangri-La. For something offering more low-key boudoir chic check out L’Hôtel in the left bank’s Latin quarter.

Paris is made for walking, cross the Seine and take in the view, browse bookshops like the famous Shakespeare & Co. or the close by Abbey Bookshop. Of course, food in this gastronomic capital is a crowning glory to Valentine’s Day in Paris. Get a table at Le Grand Véfour, Paris’s first grand restaurant dating back to 1784, or indulge in macaroons as you stroll, bought from Pierre Hermé on rue Bonaparte.

If you want to find a quiet corner try Delacroix’s studio in the 6th. Hidden away is its secluded courtyard where you can smuggle in a bottle of champagne to share as people in the surrounding apartments busy themselves making Valentine’s dinner. Be sure to book your flights in time to Paris Orly, Paris Charles-De-Gaulle, or la Guardia Airport with the Stratajet App instantly.

Charter a jet to magical Ljubljana
For something a little off the beaten track, though it certainly enjoys a good tourist trade, try Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana. Here take in Kongresni Trg Congress Square) with its beautiful gothic buildings, and cross the river Ljubljanica’s three bridges, especially Mesarski Most – or butchers’ bridge – where you can add your own “love padlock”.

Eat at Špajza and if you have the time venture out of the city to wander through some of the most magical forests, in Europe’s third most forested country. A trip to Slovenia’s second city Bled is also very worthwhile, where you can visit Tito’s former residence at Vila Bled (which has an excellent restaurant) and row yourself to Lake Bled’s central island where a beautiful church, which sees many a marriage, crowns its summit. Fly into Ljubljana Brnik Airport and get to Bled in as little as 25 minutes.
From grand boulevards to a labyrinth of canals to breathtaking forests, these are just some romantic hotspots that can offer the perfect romantic backdrop for a very special day.
