From the heady summer scene to blissful yoga retreats, Ibiza is an island that has it all. As the temperatures heat up, now is the time to plan an escape to one of the Balearics’ most prized jewels. Book your private charter into Ibiza airport, which has a dedicated private jet terminal and VIP lounges and services available, to ensure the luxury treatment never stops.
The season has begun, and for clubbing fans we’re talking the Ibiza party season, of course. If the thought of dancing with thousands till the sun comes up doesn’t appeal, never fear – on this beautiful island there is certainly something for everyone.

For the club fans, Sintillate’s opening at Nikki Beach was a big success and many will be looking to see if Hï Ibiza can capture the buzz of the now-closed Space. Its former resident DJ and island legend Camilo Franco will be joining Booka Shade and Roger Sanchez this season at Privilege, following a refurbishment over the winter at the world’s biggest club.

If the sheer size of the scene is overwhelming, there is much else to do and see on the island. Choose instead to escape everything and unwind, or dip your toe in a more elegant though still stimulating nightlife in the city’s old town.

But let’s first consider the inspiring landscape, the clear blue waters, white beaches, stunning coastal rock formations, verdant hills, abundant flora and fauna, and white-washed villas – from the quaint and traditional to the sprawling and architecturally inspired.
Starting with the perfect peaceful escape, venture inland to the centre of the island and Cas Gasi, the luxurious hotel and spa. This beautiful old country house, now an elegant but relaxed family-run hotel, is all about the rural. Enjoy the 4 hectares of land upon which the hotel is set, or venture further to follow the lovely trails and pathways that lead to idyllic villages nearby.

The many wonderful beaches of the island are also only 40 minutes away, whilst back at the hotel refresh and rejuvenate with day packages or longer bespoke programmes that cover nutrition, customised yoga, pilates or personal training, tailored massages and use of the spa.
If the charm of the old town – the Dalt Vila – calls, spend time walking its cobbled streets. The “Dalt” refers to its positioning high up, and although comfortable shoes are advised the views from the ramparts are well worth the compromise.
The old town of Ibiza
Make your approach through the dramatic drawbridge at the Portal de Ses Taules, or try the gentler ascent of the Portal Nou and watch traditionally-dressed locals go about their work and spy small courtyards and chapels as you make your way to the cathedral at the top.
Among the ancient streets explore a mix of delightful small restaurants and bars that hum with a softer buzz than the world-renowned super clubs. Be drawn in as you stroll and check menus, and watch diners take to tables that line the narrow streets.

For many however no trip to Ibiza is complete without some beach club dining and drinking, so be sure to try the perennial favourite Blue Marlin, Amante Ibiza on Sol Den Serra beach, or its little sister Aiyanna Ibiza which promises to offer a laid-back and luxe vibe when it launches in June on the north side of the island.
From full body and mind relaxation, to wild and energetic revelry, this summer the White Island is calling, and will have you recharged and ready for more, whatever your choice of island getaway might be.
